My last visit to Cat was one O magazine might have liked for the "before" and "after" picture. Truly amazing what she did with sun damaged skin from my African safari.

As well as facials, I buy her products. Of course!

It doesn't get much better than Cat for facials, and all things skin-related.

Cat Murphy is truly the high priestess of facials and skincare! I first met her while having dinner at the counter at Sushi Ran 11 years ago (right before I moved to Marin) and was very impressed with her passion for skincare and knowledge. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else. Seriously.

Part alchemist and part goddess, Cat really knows what she's doing when it comes to taking care of skin. I've treated some lucky business clients, friends and family to her services and nearly all (those who are local) still see her on regular basis. I'm on the verge of 50, which shocks people who think I'm in my late 30s or early 40s, and I have her to thank for my smooth and clear skin. While I'm blessed with good DNA, I think of Cat as my DNA protector and my anti-aging insurance policy of sorts.

Love, love, love Cat's salon! I found Cat through a co-worker and I couldn't be more pleased. As some other reviewers have pointed out the salon is charming, feminine, welcoming and relaxing. But the real jewel is Cat Murphy and the miracles she performs through her knowledge of skin and the products and services she offers.

I've been coming to Cat since January 2011. My skin hasn't looked this good - glowing and youthful - for decades. I no longer wear foundation - it's that good. And the benefits aren't just about beauty - they are about healthy skin, as well. At my annual visit to my dermatologist (I had skin cancer removed from my face 3 years ago, ergo the annual check-ups) he was impressed by the texture and health of my skin. Cat also was able to minimize my scar from my surgery three years ago, which was a fabulous bonus.

I want you to know how much I love the new mineral makeup line. I have the eyeshadow, power foundation, blush and two lipsticks. Every single one is great! The powder foundation is so easy to apply. I just experienced a facial treatment - "Fine Dining for the Skin" - at Cat Murphy's Skin Care Salon in Sausalito. All treatments are customized for the individual customer's skin type and needs of the moment. I experienced a pomegranate peel, lavender ginger body butter (with shea butter, of course) facial along with microdermabrasion and oxygen. I'm eager to try the DNA stem cell treatment and probably will do that on my next visit. Also, the bed you rest in during th treatment was so comfortable I want one for my home. She told me it was ergonomically designed to be especially soothing and supportive during the treatment. When I got up, I was served a blueberry, herb infused spring water that was a perfect way to re-enter the real world. And, the mineral makeup she applied kept my skin feeling pure and protected from the sun. A must do experience - She is an amazing mixture of skin care specialist, pamperer, healer, and magic-maker through the multi-media approach of touch, color, aromas and music. It's quite a place right on the water in Sausalito.
